Do you know why Joseph of Arimathaea was so willing to place Jesus in his own tomb?

He knew Jesus only needed it “for the weekend!”

1 Cor 15:20
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

It seems Easter keeps “popping up” in my mind.
My heart is joyful at all the revelations from God because of Jesus’ resurrection.
Through His resurrection......

Jesus’ deity is declared.
Rom 1:4 says, “And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:”

Jesus’ sovereignty is declared.
Rom 14:9 says, “For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.”

Jesus paid for man’s sin, and justifies sinners who surrender to Him.
Rom 4:25 says, “Who was delivered for our offences , and was raised again for our justification.”

Jesus raises sinners from death to life!
Eph 2:1 says, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;..”

Jesus has given regeneration to those who surrender to Him.
1Peter 1:3 says, “.....hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,..”

Jesus has given us strength for daily life.
Rom 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Jesus has secured eternal life for those who surrender to Him.
1 Thess 4:14-18 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

There are some wonderful revelations because of:
