Today's Devotion:
"REVERENCE is REFLECTED"
HI!
To rile up his Christian friends, the athiest
in the high school class was always looking
for scientific speculation that would throw
doubt on God or the Bible.
Scouring the Internet he discovered research
from a student at an obscure university who
hypothesized that due to weather and wind
patterns, the Red Sea was less than 2 feet
deep when Moses led the Hebrews across it.
It wasn’t even up to their knees, the athiest
sneered.
One of the Christian friends exclaimed,
That must be a MIRACLE!
What miracle? the athiest asked.
Anybody could have waded across it!
The Christian grinned. Simple. God drowned
Pharaoh’s entire army in less than 2 feet of
water!

Reverence for God is reflected in behavior.
In our Scripture above, Peter gives four state-
ments which instill empathy, kindness and respect.
HONOUR ALL MEN
Note the word ALL.
NONE are to be despised or looked down upon.
All are to be given respect because they are
created by our Lord.
Every human life has some dignity to which we
can show honor, and from whom we can learn.
Honor them by sharing Christ with them.
LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD
We should treat our fellow Christians just as
Christ would treat them, for "God is love."
His love is a commitment of caring and not
only a feeling of emotion.
In genuine sincerity accept, commune with, and
care for your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
FEAR GOD
HONOUR THE KING
One day, and perhaps soon, we shall be pulled
Until then, let our reverence for God be
Love ya!
It means to have such great fright hat it is
reflected in awesome reverence.
That awesome reverence is to be toward God!
And, that reverence should be coordinated into
every part of our life, in which we should express
our reverence for Christ our Creator, Savior and
Judge.
Christ is the One Who set us free from the
domination of Satan and sin.
However, we are left here on earth for a time.
We must remember that we are subject to
authority here also.
When we are young, we are subject to our
parents and school teachers.
When we are older, we are subject to our
bosses, law enforcement and government
leaders.
