THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A man was seated beside a local priest watching local boxing matches.
He noticed that one boxer knelt in his corner to pray before the match.
The man asked the priest, "Do you suppose God will help him win?"
The priest answered, "I think that depends upon whether he can box."
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
The word "revive" means to make alive, refresh, renew.
Sadly, today, many in the church have no concept of sin.
They call it failure, or shortcoming, or error -- anything but SIN.
Too many church members are "at EASE in Zion," and unconcerned about the world, just content to have "Fire Insurance."
Sadly, today, most churches can't even FIND 50 per cent of their members!
Fewer than 40 percent of those enrolled in Sunday School actually attend!
We need to cry out like the psalmist for God to REVIVE us again!
We need to make our plea PERSONAL --"Let revival begin in ME!" (verse 7)
Only an awesome, people-changing, movement of the wind of God's Holy Spirit can change the lax body of the church to be a causative agent in the remodeling of a sin-infested world!
The salvation of the world DEPENDS upon the CONDITION of the church!
Jesus said, "Ye are the salt of the earth,,,,,Ye are the light of the world..." (Matt. 5:13-14)
The church needs REVIVAL!
The world needs to SEE the church in revival!
Will you pray with me for God to "revive us again?"
