12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Physical life deals us some misery at times.
While we're mowing the yard on a very hot day, the mower quits.
We're late for work and the car won't start.
After shopping in a tremendous Christmas crowd, we return to the
car and find a flat.
Spiritual life deals us some misery at times too.
You've been standing in the check-out line for 20 minutes, and the
clerk's computer dies.
Do you mutter under your breath?
Or do you smile and say, "Jesus, please give me patience."
Sometimes people are just downright mean.
Sometimes people are just plain cold.
But Jesus didn't say, "Love thy neighbor depending on his/her attitude."
Our salvation doesn't depend upon our endurance. No.
It's the other way around.
Our endurance in relationships with God and other people depend
upon our salvation!!
If we are truly saved, we WILL endure!
God equips us with His Holy Spirit to comfort and encourage us.
He gives us His Holy Bible to teach us.
He gives us His church to lean on and minister.
When we are SAVED, we are EQUIPPED to endure!
