A five-year-old girl, returning home from a funeral of her grandmother, rode in the car with her other grandmother. She asked, "Where did Grandma go?"

The other grandmother answered, "We believe she went to heaven."
Child, "How old was she?"
Grandmother, "She was 83."
Child, "How old are you?"
Grandmother, "I'm 85."
Child, "I hope God hasn't forgotten you!"

Eph 4:30
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Paul says in Ephesians 1:13, "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,..." Then Paul says, in our text today, "..whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

When we heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, we were first convicted. Then we surrendered to Him as Lord, trusting Him to provide forgiveness and salvation from the eternal consequence of sin. THEN, Christ SEALED us in His Spirit. And He NEVER forgets us!

We are sealed in order to provide continued sanctification. Each time we sin, He convicts us and calls us to repentance. Then He is able to use us for His purposes.

We are sealed in order to provide inspiration. His Holy Spirit teaches us His Holy Word, and then helps us to recall that Word during our daily lives. It is in this way we have the desire to serve our Lord, Christ.

We are sealed in order to provide works that are acceptable to God. There is nothing that we do on our own that is acceptable to God. "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Phil 2:13)

We are sealed in order to provide daily revival in our hearts. "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." (Ps 51:12)

PRAISE GOD! For if He did not SEAL us, we could not remain in His grace and receive His blessings.

PRAISE GOD! For by His SEALING of us, He ordains us to ambassadorship for His purposes.

Let us attempt nothing without Him!
Let us attempt all things for Him!

Love ya,
