THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A mother called her 4-year-old boy in for lunch.
She told him to go and wash his hands.
He said, "MOM! I'm only gonna eat, not operate on someone's brain!”
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah
Which of us can say that we have "clean hands, and a pure heart?”
NONE of us!
Which of us can say that we have not desired things in "vanity?”
And who among us can say that we have not "sworn deceitfully?”
NONE of us!
The Bible tells us that we are ALL sinners, and come short of the glory for which God created us.
Not only are we all sinners, but we are all sinners all the time.
But PRAISE GOD, He has a plan for redemption!
We can receive the "blessing of the Lord," which is the "righteousness from God.”
The salvation which God offers is to the "generation that seek Him.”
Were it not for God's mercy and grace, we would all be excluded from His glorious heaven.
But God tells us those that SEEK Him shall FIND Him!
"For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matt. 7:8)
