6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
LIGHT from the WORD.
How WONDERFUL to know the "blessing of the Lord!"
It makes a person RICH in spiritual worth (which is the most important "bottom line").
There is NO SORROW in the riches of knowing God and his abundant blessings!
Yes, the world has sorrow because of sin.
And, sorrow touches every heart as a result.
But the JOY of seeking and knowing God makes
a person RICH in realizing God has an "expected end"
for our life!!
Paul was such a person who SOUGHT the Lord and His will.
He suffered beatings, jail, stoning, and shipwreck.
But his JOY was in KNOWING the Lord! Hear what Paul said in 2Tim. 4:18.
There was a man in the Old Testament named Jabez.
Jabez means sorrow or, one who brings grief!
But, because he sought the Lord, he was BLESSED!
1 Chron 4:10
Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,
"Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border,
and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me
from harm that it may not pain me!"
And God granted him what he requested.
Because Jabez sought God, not only was he individually blessed,
but he brought blessing to many others!
Are YOU seeking Jesus with your LIFE?
Praying, studying your Bible, and not just being a member
of a church, but being active and involved IN that church?
If you are, then you know that God is BLESSING you, and
you can find lessons and joy in each sorrow you face!
Be SEEKING the LORD with EACH day!
