Grandma was asking her daughter how she was dealing with motherhood.

She said, "Oh. I guess I'm doing ok. I just work from son-up to son-down!"

Matt 18:11
For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

I don't know about you, but I'm glad the Son of God came down!
And I'm glad the Son of man rose up!
And I'll be glad to see the Son of God coming again!

Did you know that the title "Son of man" was Jesus' favorite name by which He referred to Himself?

He could have used several titles that were written of Him in the Old Testament:
“Messiah, Son of God, Wonderful Counsellor, Almighty God, Prince of Peace, or Everlasting Father.”
But Jesus' favorite designation of Himself was "Son of man."

This title expresses His humility.
He humbled Himself totally to God's will - even to the death of the cross.
He didn't care for great titles, and neither should we.
Let us take this lesson from our Master, and be humble in nature.

This title reflects the affiliation of God to mankind.
He became part of those whom He had created!
And those who sinned against Him, He died to save!
With those who suffer, He came to suffer.
He experienced grief and sorrow more than any man.
And therefore, He can comfort and help us!

This title expresses elevation for mankind.
In using it, Jesus elevated the human race!
By referring to Himself as the "Son of man," Jesus spread a glowing light above the crown of every human head.
The Son of God became the "Son of man" by CHOICE!
And He did this to allow mankind to become "sons of God." (John 1:12)

1 John 3:1 says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God....”

He is God enough to create us.
He is loving enough to come and share all our difficulties.
He is God enough to condemn us.
He is loving enough to forgive us.
He is God enough to demand more than we can give.
He is loving enough to become all our need.
He is God enough to demand just payment for our sin.
He is loving enough to provide that payment with His own blood.

The Son of God was UP,
But He came DOWN,
To raise us UP!

Love ya!
