THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Margaret Thatcher once said,
”Being powerful is like being a lady.
If you have to tell someone you are, you aren’t!”
21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
Life is brief and uncertain.
We face difficulty and adversity every day.
Correct decision making is imperative to living righteously.
The word “them” in verse 21 above refers to the WORD of God.
The only manner in which we can “keep sound wisdom and discretion” is by following God’s will.
Therefore, we should keep our eyes focused upon His WORD.
Keeping the Word in front of us is a constant reminder to abide by God’s truths.
When we apply God’s Word to our decision making, then we are confident of doing right.
Too often, we live in spiritual apathy.
If we make God’s Word an object of delight, then it will become the source of instruction.
When God’s Word is the source of our instruction for decision making THEN:
We know REAL LIFE,
We receive grace abounding,
And, we do not fear the difficulties we face.
Keep God’s Word in your heart and mind at all times.
Being a child of God is exemplified in keeping “sound wisdom and discretion.”
