THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?

At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report?

We call UP our friends and we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen.
We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car.

If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used.
It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more.

SCRIPTURE__________________________________

John 3:13-16
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Where did we get the idea that heaven is UP, and hell is down?
Perhaps from these, and other, Scriptures.

Notice the wording in verse 13.
Jesus came "down from heaven."
Jesus "ascended" into heaven.
Jesus "is" in heaven!

God is omnipresent! He's everywhere at the same time.
One young boy was trying to tell his adult neighbor about Jesus.
The older man broke into the boy's testimony and said, "Son I'll give you a dollar if you can tell me where Jesus is."
The young boy quickly said, "Sir, I'll give you ten dollars if you can tell me where Jesus AIN'T!"

God "SO loved.."
God loved the world in THIS manner, or LIKE this:
That He "GAVE His only begotten Son!"

Jesus can be GOD, and be the ransom for man's sin at the same time!
Jesus, Who created time, entered time, at the perfect time, to SAVE us!

So, are you UP for Jesus?
Then, be “speaking UP” for Jesus!

Now, let's all be "STANDING On the Promises!"
And, let's "Stand UP For Jesus!"
Don't just be sitting on your premises!

For "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

(Rom 10:14)

Love ya!
