DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"SPECIFICS of CHRISTMAS 2"

The role of the prophet (Hebrew "Nabbi")
was to speak what God would speak --
TRUTH.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Deut. 18:15
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a
Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren,
like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

There were many prophets in Israel, but there
is no doubt that THIS prophecy of Moses is not
about prophets in general.
This prophecy is MESSIANIC!

Following the statement in verse 15 above, is
another in verse 18 of the same chapter.
Deut.15:18
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their
brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words
in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all
that I shall command him."

Deut. 18:15 is about THE Prophet of Israel
Who was to come.
Jesus is this Prophet!

Centuries later, after Jesus had arisen from the
grave and ascended into glory, Peter referred to
this prophecy in Act. 3:22.
"For Moses truly said unto the fathers, a Prophet
shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your
brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear in all
things whatsoever He shall say unto you."

Therefore, THE Prophet of Whom Moses spoke
would be MESSIAH.

The CHRIST of God is JESUS!

In this season of the year, when we celebrate
CHRISTmas, we must realize that God had
made prophecies in SPECIFICS about Him!

Love ya!
