DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

Wife to psychiatrist, "Doctor, I'd like you to evaluate my 60
year-old husband."

Doctor, "Ok, he's exhibits a transient psychosis with an intermittent
rage disorder, punctuated by episodic radical mood swings, but his
prognosis is good for full recovery."

Wife, "How can you say all that without even meeting him?"

Doctor, "You said he was 60. That means he’s in his 2nd childhood!"

LIGHT from the WORD.

Yesterday, I spoke of LEARNING and EXHIBITING true WISDOM.
(See LEARNING and EXHIBITING true WISDOM)

Being saved involves a PROCESS by which we put OFF the
“old man,” and put ON the “new man.”
(See Eph. 4:22-24)

In that process we “become servants to God.”
The result of being a servant of God is exhibiting the behavior
of “holiness.”
Now, there’s a word that causes many Christians to shiver!

The word holiness is actually derived from the Greek hagiasmas.
That word means purification, or sanctification.
It is a process!

It is an action performed within by the presence of God’s
Holy Spirit!
And, yes, it DOES require cooperating effort on the part
of the believer!
Thus, holiness involves an immediate change, and a
continuing change.

Holiness does NOT mean self-sanctimoniousness!
It DOES mean exhibiting behavioral change which gradually
and continually moves one toward the image of Christ.

Be sure you are looking toward Jesus striving to do His will!
AND, then, your life WILL exhibit the continuing change of holiness!

SPIRITUAL CHILDHOOD is GROWTH toward HOLINESS!

Love ya!
