THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The pastor's secretary got a new job working at the pentagon.
The first thing she did was redo the filing cabinet in the office where she was assigned.
She labeled all the files "Sacred," and "Top-Sacred."
2 Cor 6:17-18
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate , saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Pharoah told the Israelites, "..only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me." (Ex 8:28)
But Pharoah was an old snake.
And the farther one is from a snake - the better!
As long as Pharoah had them as slaves, he wanted them close.
Though they thought differently, and worshipped God and not him, Pharoah wanted them to serve him.
The world is that way with Christians.
The world wants Christians to compromise, and be tolerant toward immorality.
Purity is desirable to the world, but certainly not to be preached!
Dying to Christ and living a life of holiness are ideals which the carnal mind meets with ridicule, frustration and anger.
But if we are to live protected by our "Father," and be "sons and daughters" to Him, we must be different from the world.
Come out from immorality and compromise not!
Stand boldly against immorality, and even be preachy!
And know the closeness of our Lord!
