The other evening, I was cooking spaghetti for Ann & me.
The spaghetti had boiled and was ready to drain.
I turned off the fire, lifted the boiler and started toward
the sink to put it in the collander.
The handle broke off!!
Spaghetti all over the floor!!
WHAT A MESS!
I was really upset about it.
Ann came into the kitchen and said,
"Honey, go sit down a minute, and I'll clean it up."
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion
according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
LIGHT from the WORD.
Life is not always CLEAN!
Sometimes, we face MESSES!
But God is ALWAYS there to clean it up!!
As we look at our world today, we see MANY messes!
They AFFECT us!
And, all too often, we take it personal and ask
Perhaps it is best for us to sit down a minute each day
and see what God is doing to clean up the messes.
We need to remember that the world causes affliction
because of sin.
God does not allow that to happen "willingly!"
He does not desire that His followers be grieved!
STOP and PRAY!
God has "compassion" because He has a
"mulitutude" of "mercies"!!
When bad things happen, stop and think of the REASON!
Remember what Joseph said to his brothers who had sold
him into slavery.
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good
in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.
As followers of Christ, we yearn for the day when God will come
and clean up the mess by ruling the world in righteousness for
one thousand years!!
UNTIL THEN, when difficult times come, let us
STOP and PRAY!
Then, SEE the REASON, and apply God's SOLUTION by
working to see others saved!
