Gypsy Smith was once asked how to start a revival.
He answered, "Go home, lock yourself in your room and kneel down in the middle of your floor.
Draw a chalk mark all around yourself and ask God to start the revival inside that chalk mark.
When He has answered your prayer, the revival will be on."

1 Kings 19:5-8
4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

I believe most would agree that what the world needs more than anything right now
is a genuine REVIVAL of the Christian church!

Revival must begin in each Christian's heart!
Then, it will overflow to others.

Elijah, that great prophet of God, was discouraged.
He went out into the woods to DIE!

Even though he was discouraged, God was still the CENTER of his life!
He went into the wilderness, and the first thing he did was PRAY!
His prayer was of discouragement (vs 4).
But God's power in the relationship gave Elijah new strength!

Through one action (prayer), God provided two sources of strength that brought REVIVAL to Elijah's soul.
He was fed the bread and water of God.

Christian, God's "journey" for us in this life is "too great for thee!" (vs 7)
We must have the strength and power of God in order to live according to the purpose He has for you!

When we genuinely seek God through prayer daily,
He provides REVIVAL in our souls by giving us strength from His power.

First, God gives us the "bread of life."
This comes from our relationship with Christ.
Jesus said in John 6:48, "I am that bread of life."
He is the substance and source of our strength.
The more we learn of Him through His Word, the more He is the CENTER of our lives.

Second, God gives us the "water of life."
Jesus said in John 4:14, "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

When we surrender to Christ the relationship we have with Him is like a "well of water."
The source is in the everlasting Savior.
The joy and happiness of His eternal grace overflows our hearts!

When life is difficult, when tragedy strikes, when our hearts are broken,
Jesus will daily renew our relationship with Him!

THEN we will find the supply the strength we need for REVIVAL!

Love ya!
