Today's Devotion:
"Solid Ground for Life Walking"
Abraham Lincoln once said, "But for this
book (Bible) we could not know right from
wrong."
George Washington once said, "It is
impossible to rightly govern the world
without the Bible."
_______SCRIPTURE____________
Prov. 3:21-23
21 My son, let not them depart from thine
eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and
grace to thy neck.
23 Then shalt thou walk in thy ways safely,
and thy foot shall not stumble.
KJV
_______THOUGHT______________
We face difficulties and adversity every day.
Correct decision making is imperative to
living rightly.
The word "them" in verse 21 above refers to
the WORD of God - the Bible.
The only manner in which we can have
"sound wisdom and discretion" is by
following the will of God in the Bible.
When we apply God's Word to our decision
making, then we are confident of doing right.
Too often, we act hastily and decide by
experience or intellect.
Being politically correct only means being
in the current trends of society.
That leads to straying from truth and is
actually harmful.
Being Biblically correct is keeping the truths
of God in authority for societal actions.
That leads to rightful governing of society.
The Bible says we should keep God's Word
in our hearts, and teach them to our children.
(Deut. 6:4-9)
Read, study, learn and USE the Bible in
decision making.
That is SOLID GROUND for life's walking!
Love ya!
