DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"TAKE a SEAT"

An elderly lady phoned 911.
She seemed very upset.
She stated that someone had broken into
her car and stolen the steering wheel, the
radio, the brake pedal and even the
accelerator.

An officer was dispatched to the lady's
home.

A few moments later, the officer reported:
"Disregard, she got in the back seat
by mistake."

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Matt 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them,
saying, All power is given unto me in heaven
and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you alway, even unto the end of the
world. Amen.

_______THOUGHT______________

To utilize an automobile one must be familiar
with the operation of the car.
The "back seat" is for those who are willing
to go where the driver takes them!

In the church, Christians must be familiar with
the operation of it.
Each Christian cannot drive the vehicle of
the church.
The church has only ONE Driver - Jesus!
The rest of us are supposed to be going
wherever HE drives us!!

Notice in our Scripture above "ALL POWER"
is given to Jesus!
We are to take His commanding direction!

There are three elements of verses 19-20.
1)EVANGELISM - "GO ... TEACH" all nations
the Gospel.

2) AND, "TEACH" them the WORD of God.
To those who surrender to Christ as Lord,
the "body" of the church must teach them
how to LIVE as Jesus' disciples.

3) THEN, EDIFY the church with the comforting
words of Jesus -- "I AM WITH YOU!"
Christians have the PRESENCE of Christ
IN them by the Holy Spirit.

TAKE a SEAT!
Be willing to go in the DIRECTION of Jesus!
Be involved in riding WITH Him!

Love ya!
