THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

In this technological world, sometimes we just can't help but show our ignorance.

Customer called in to tech support.
Customer: I can't get my keyboard to work.
Tech: Is it plugged in to your computer.
Customer: I don't know. I can't see the back of the computer.
Tech: Ok. Just pick up your keyboard and walk backward 5 paces.
Customer: Ok. Did that.
Tech: Did the keyboard come with you?
Customer: Yes.
Tech: Then the keyboard is NOT plugged in to the computer.

2 Cor 4:18-5:1
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Sometimes, in this technological world, we lose our FOCUS.

Information is so abundant, and presented to us in so many different ways that,
we begin looking too much at the things of the world, and not focusing on God.

Shall we not realize that the things of this world are “temporal?”
One day, the things of this world will all be burned away.
2 Peter 3:10 says,
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

Then, there will be a new earth, placed in a new heaven.
Rev 21:1 says,
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

Even before that day, our life may be “dissolved” by death.
If that should happen today, is not the “eternal” more important than the “temporal?”

We should live in the “here and now” looking forward to the “there and then.”

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.”

In this world of technological advances;
Keep your FOCUS!

Love ya!
