THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Two young boys really got into bird hunting.
They went to purchase a bird dog.
They asked for one that was well-trained, and paid a high price.
But when they went hunting, the dog didn’t work!
No matter how they tried, the dog wouldn’t follow their commands.
Finally, one said, “We’ll try this one more time.
You throw him into the air again, and if that dog don’t fly we’re takin’ him back!”
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and as a
cloud, thy sins: return to me; for I have redeemed thee.
Our sins were like a dark, thick cloud.
They blocked us from the presence, power and grace of God.
But Jesus won the victory through the cross and resurrection!
And, when we surrendered to Jesus as Lord and Savior,
God “blotted” out our sins!
God didn’t reach down with a finger and flick that cloud of sins away.
He didn’t blow a mighty wind that removed that cloud of sins.
But they are no longer there!
And, they CANNOT return!
God has made the way CLEAR; He has removed the cloud of separation!
Let’s realize afresh and anew the wonderful relationship we have with God!
Let’s rely on prayer to draw us into His presence, power and grace.
When we have difficult times, we can no longer say God is not NEAR!
That dog won’t fly!
It is WE who need to “return unto” God!
James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you!”
