THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A chicken came into the library, hopped on the counter and said, “Book, bok, bok, book.”
So the librarian gave her a book.
She tucked it under her wing and ran out the door.

In just a few moments, the chicken came back.
She hopped on the counter, dropped the book in the “return” bin, and said, “Book, bok, bok, boook.”
So, the librarian gave her another book.

In just a few moments, the chicken was back again.
She hopped on the counter, dropped the book in the “return” bin, and said, “Book, bok, bok, boook.”
This time the librarian gave her a book, but then followed her.

The chicken ran down the street, through the park, and to the river bank.
There was a green frog sitting on a lily pad.
The chicken held up the book, and said, “Book, bok, bok, boook.”

The frog said, “Read-it, read-it, read-it.”

1 Thess 2:13
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us,
ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

THOUGHT____________________________________

The Bible is the Word of God.
It is not only a book, it is THE book.

By the Word of God we were convicted of sin, convinced of Jesus as Savior, and
called to commit our lives to Him.

The Word of God is the “sword of the Spirit.” (Eph. 6:17)
God’s Holy Spirit USES the Word of God when spoken to bring sinners to Christ, and
to edify and educate Christians.

When we learn the Word of God, His Holy Spirit also uses it to “effectually” work in believers. (1Thess. 2:13 above)
John 14:26 says, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

God’s Holy Spirit uses the Word of God powerfully and mightily to both “teach” and help us REMEMBER.

The Bible is THE book!
Read-it, read-it, read-it!

Love ya!
