THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Concerning the recent earthquake on the Eastern Coast of the USA:
Obama said it was located on an obscure fault-line named “Bush’s Fault.”
He also said there was a federal investigation launched to see if it was caused by the “Tea Party.”
However, it is now known that the tremors were actually caused by our “founding fathers”
rolling over in their graves.
He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever:
holy and reverend is his name.
In this world of extreme difficulty and constant change, one thing remains CONSTANT:
the covenant God has made with those who believe and surrender to Him.
God made that covenant with God, for man’s benefit, before the world began.
God secured that covenant in the Person and blood of Jesus Christ.
The covenant is immutable because it is signed, sealed and delivered in Christ Himself.
Neither time nor death can change the covenant, for it is procured by the Rock of Ages Himself.
The benefits of this covenant are:
1) God Himself becomes the inheritance of our eternal souls (Psalm 119:57);
2) Jesus Christ is our eternal Savior and Friend (Titus 1:4);
3) God’s Holy Spirit is our constant Comforter and Companion (John 14:26);
4) Earth is our temporary tent, but Heaven is our eternal “tabernacle” (Hebrews 9:11).
There are many more benefits to this covenant: truth, love, peace, joy, secured hope.
And, we are given The Word of Truth which is eternally settled, and unchanging (Psalm 119:89).
God is the Benefactor of the covenant.
Man is the beneficiary of the joys of that covenant.
All that is required, is for man to enter the covenant by surrender to Christ.
“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
Have you entered this eternal covenant?
