THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The pastor walked outside with his coffee on Christmas morning.
He passed the manger scene near the church.
SOMETHING was missing!
He looked and looked.
And, just as he figured out that the Baby Jesus was missing from the manger,
he heard a soft sound behind him.
Little Randy came toward the pastor, pulling a brand new red wagon.
Inside the wagon was Baby Jesus from the manger scene!
Randy said, “I’m sorry pastor,” as he carefully placed Baby Jesus back in the manger.
”I promised Jesus, if I got a new wagon, I would give HIM the first ride!”
O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
I’m not sure I understand all about prevenient grace.
But, I do understand if God had not FIRST “pleaded the causes of my soul,” I could never have been redeemed!
It was God Who saw and knew me before the world began.
It was He Who set the plan in motion that brought Holy Spirit conviction to my soul.
It was He Who provided the plan of salvation, through Jesus, that offered me His forgiveness.
It was He Who called me from sin into His saving grace.
It is He Who holds and keeps me until that final day.
All we have we owe to Christ!
All we are we owe to Christ!
All we shall ever be we owe to Christ!
Open your lips this day, move your tongue, and give JESUS the first ride of your voice!
I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
