THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

When Tom answered the phone, the voice said,
“CONGRATULATIONS! You have just won a brand new automobile.
All you have to do is come sign the papers, and pick up the keys.”

Tom said, “Wow, thank you!”

But Tom never went to sign the papers and pick up the keys.

Is the car his?
NO!

Rom 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Though Jesus is God in flesh;
Though He willingly died on the cross to pay for the sins of all men;
Though He desires that all men repent and receive eternal salvation;
Are all men saved?

NO!

Matt 7:13-14 says,
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Salvation is PROVIDED for all men through Jesus Christ.
However, one must PERSONALLY come and publicly “confess” Jesus as Lord in order to receive eternal salvation.

The Greek word for “confession” in Romans 10:10 is homologeo (pronounced: hom-ol-og-eh'-o).
That word means to give assent, or, to make a covenant.
Therefore, the “confession” becomes a “PROfession.”
One LIVES by what He has confessed.

Salvation is as simple as A, B, C.
A – admit sinfulness and need of salvation.
B – believe that Jesus desires to save you.
C – commit to Him as Lord of your life.

CONGRATULATIONS!
The “keys” to eternal salvation are given.
Have you received yours?

Love ya,
Bruce
