((NOTE: There’ll be no devotion tomorrow (Tuesday, June 19, 2012).
Bro. Bruce will be having surgery.
Hopefully, we’ll be back “on track” Wednesday.))

Going out to meet trouble is one of life's shortest walks!

Ps 107:7
And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I find trouble comes even when I'm NOT looking for it!

Some days we are on the highest mountain peak of our faith.
Some days we find ourselves in the lowest ebb.
Some days we are in the "daylight" of joy and hope.
Some days we are in the "night" of dread and despair.

Does our Lord guide us?
Yes! He is still there.
"Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?" (Matt 8:26)
He Who guides us in the calm also guides us in the storm!

In our text above, God says two very important things.

First, He does not necessarily lead us in the way without trouble, but He leads us in the "right way!"
When our lives are battered with distress and perhaps even persecution, we take comfort in knowing that He is WITH us in the difficulty.

We also must realize that, at times, God is guiding us in the way of experience that we might be able to help others.
"Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." (2 Cor 1:4)

Second, the "right way" ultimately leads to "...a city of habitation."
Heaven is our ultimate destination.
Only God knows how to lead and guide us through the difficulties of life to that place.

He guides us through the disasters of our own sins and the problems of others' sins.

"...we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God." (Acts 14:22)
Therefore, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;" (James 1:2)

And above all, know that He is WITH you in every step!

Love ya!
