THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Faith is exhibiting ownership of believing.

When you arose one morning and had a flat tire, you believed your tools were in the car trunk.
When you decided to change the tire, you went to the car trunk knowing your tools would be there.

Luke 9:23-24
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

True faith can only be received when one surrenders ownership of self to Christ.

We must realize we have no tools with which to conquer sin and the consequences of sin: death.
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
ALL people are sinners.
ALL people are sinners today.
Have YOU ceased from sin?
In “self” we have no tools with which to conquer sin.

And, “the wages of sin is DEATH!” (Romans 6:23)
The question is not WILL you die, but WHEN will you die?
Life is very uncertain.
Death COULD come TODAY!

So, then, how can we be prepared to conquer the consequences of sin: death?

When we lift “empty hands” to Christ, He FILLS them!
He gives us eternal life”!!
John 10:28 says, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

That means we can:
Live In Faith Everyday!
Once we surrender to Jesus, He fills us with the faith to exhibit our belief in Him.
Phil 2:13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

You can have faith by surrendering self to Him Who GIVES you faith.
You can exhibit your faith by allowing Him to work IN and THROUGH you!

You cannot travel the “road of salvation” with a flat tire!
Be sure you go get your tools before you face the day!
The tools WILL BE in your prayer trunk!

Love ya!
