The children of an elderly couple threw a golden wedding anniversary for them.
The couple were seated in the center of the room, and, the guests were gathered round them.

Dad was particularly moved by the occasion, and wanted to tell Mom just how he felt about her.
He said, "Honey, after 50 years, I have found you tried and true."

She looked at him for a moment then said,
"Well! After 50 years, I'm tired of you too!"

Phil 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

When we get older, we develop physical deficiencies like hardened ear bones.
Sometimes that lessens our hearing abilities, and causes much misunderstanding.

Spiritually we develop deficinecies when we center our lives around our own desires.

All of us, without exception, would admit there have been several times we have failed to follow God's will in our lives.
Most of the time, that's because we weren't LISTENING!

Of all the things we might choose to do for the Lord, obeying His Word is the most important!

What does God says about:
our physical appearance, our conversation, our personal friendships, our partnerships, our attendance in church, our giving, our ministry?

God actually addresses ALL of those.
But are we LISTENING?

The most important thing we can do is learn God's Word, then,
"think on these things!"

Love ya,
