esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things,
but every man also on the things of others.

_______THOUGHT______________
Christians actually fulfill the joy of Christ by
having the consolation in our hearts that
Christ is WITH us by His Holy Spirit.
By HIS power, we can have "likemindedness"
in Christ!
We become of "one mind" by studying the
Bible and applying the principles that we learn.
When I first started as pastor, the words from
vs 3 were on my business card.
The word "esteem" is translated from the Greek
word hegeomai.
It means to account others as better than
ourselves.
When we are thinking of others in that manner,
we are having "lowliness of mind."
People aren't necessarily impressed by what
you KNOW;
They are impressed by how you CARE!
And, that is why vs 4 is there.
Each of us care about our own things and
thoughts.
AND, we should also care about OTHERS!
Thoughts which "esteem" others, are thoughts
which GUIDE us to CARE about others.
