Luke 22:19-20
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave
unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you:
this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the

LIGHT from the WORD.

THURSDAY: PREPARATION DAY!

Jesus was prepared to pay the awful cost of our salvation.
As Messiah, Christ - He was committed to being our need!
He, being God in flesh, was ready to pay Holy blood for unholy men.

But Jesus CONTINUED to prepare!
As He continued to prepare Himself, He also was
preparing the disciples!

The Matzah, the bread cakes in the Seder represented:
affliction, freedom, and anticipation.
It was a symbol of Messiah fulfilling all for those who love Him.
Jesus IS "the bread of life!" (See John 6:35)

The "cup" represented redemption.
It showed the redemption of the Jews from Egypt by
lamb's blood;
but, also was a symbol of the redemption God would pay
for ALL men in His OWN BLOOD!
(See Is. 43:11 also Jer. 31:31-33)

Yes, Jesus KNEW what those symbols meant, and He was
prepared to face what came next.
He Who looked down through history saw:
the scoffing, the scowling, the rejection, the terrible crucifixion.
His heart was READY to pay that price for lost souls!
But He STILL went to the Mount of Olives to PRAY and PREPARE!
John 17:1-26 records that prayer.

Jesus had SAID He was prepared.

Now, He was CONTINUING to prepare!

Though He could have called 10,000 angels - He stayed to face the cross.

Christian, are YOU prepared?

Our preparation begins with the commitment to surrender to
Christ as Lord of our life.
Then, those who are surrendered are COMMISSIONED to be
“ambassadors for Christ.” (See John 6:35)

Then, we must continue to prepare through Bible study
and prayer.
Then we will "be ready always to give an answer to every
man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you"
.
(See 1Pet. 3:15)

Love ya!
