"That TALKING Donkey"
Money and power have so blinded and
deafened some, that they do not see
and listen to God's Word.
_______SCRIPTURE____________
Numbers 22:27-28
27 And when the ass saw the angel of the
LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and
Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote
the ass with a staff.
28 And the LORD opened the mouth of the
ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have
I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me
these three times?

_______THOUGHT______________
Balak was king of the Moabites.
The Israelites were coming from the South
and Balak was afraid.
He wanted Balaam (a prophet) to come and
CURSE Israel!
Balak sent ambassadors to Balaam.
The ambassadors had "the rewards of
divination" with them -- money.
Balaam told the ambassadors to wait while
he talked with the Lord.
The Lord told him NOT to go.
Balak sent the messengers back with MORE
money.
The Lord told Balaam he could go, but he
could only speak what God TOLD him.
God will NOT curse those whom He has
blessed!
God became angry with Balaam, because he
went with avarice in his heart.
He tried to APPEAR to Balaam THREE times.
But Balaam was BLINDED by his avarice!
So God made the donkey TALK!!
The Scripture says, "For the love of money is
the root of all evil: which while some coveted
after, they have erred from the faith, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows!"
(1Tim 6:10)
