DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"The ANNOUNCEMENT Part IV"

In Genesis, we read that God created all things in
heaven and earth.
Prophetically He saw the DARKNESS that man
would bring by s i n.

Then, God's Spirit "moved" upon His creation,
and said, "Let there be LIGHT!"

_______SCRIPTURE____________

John 1:1-4 1 In the beginning was the WORD, and the Word was
with God, and the Word WAS God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by Him, and without Him was
not any thing made that was made.
4 In Him was LIFE, and the life was the LIGHT of men.
5 And the Light shineth in the darkness; and the
darkness comprehended it not.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

Light is that which penetrates darkness.
When Adam and Eve brought the darkness of sin
into the world, God Himself came to walk and
talk with them that evening in the garden.

God's PRESENCE that evening PENETRATED
the darkness.
He showed the revelation of Himself to reveal
the dark guilt of sin, and Adam and Eve tried
to HIDE from God.

Jesus is the revelation of God.
He is the visible image of the invisible God.
His life brings the glory of God on earth to
reveal sin's darkness to mankind.

But that LIGHT brings a revelation of MORE!
That Light of Christ, Immanuel, God with us
brings revelation of God's LOVE and gives
us HOPE!

And the LIGHT of Christ SHINES in the
darkness of man's sin.
But mankind cannot seize or receive the
Light because man would rather reign in the
darkness than be servant to the light!

On the eve of Christmas, let the LIGHT enter
and penetrate!

God laid aside His tremendous, eternal
glory and "became flesh and dwelt among
us."
(John 1:14)

Yet still today, "He is despised and rejected of
men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with
grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we esteemed Him not."

(Is. 53:3)

On this night, this blessed Christmas Eve, let
us remember, reflect and repent.
"For God sent not His Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through
Him might be saved!"
(John 3:17)

Throw down the "glory" of self in sorrowful
repentance; and,
REJOICE with JOY, for God came to
SAVE us!

Has the LIGHT of revelation shown on you?

Love ya!
