DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"The COMMISSION of the CO-MISSION"

In the early 1800's, a man was about to leave
on a trip, and would be gone several weeks.
Approaching the door with his back pack, he
leaned over to kiss his wife good-bye.

She said, "Jake, you mean you're going on a
trip and you ain't gonna cut no firewood first?"

He looked at her and said, "Honey. I'm not
TAKIN' the AXE!"

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Matt 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.

_______THOUGHT______________

The Scripture above is called "The GREAT
COMMISSION."
It is not a SUGGESTION, it is a COMMAND.

That command is a CO-MISSION assignment
to all who believe in Christ!

Jesus came into the world to
"save sinners."
(1Tim. 1:15) It was His MISSION!
NOW, it is the CO-MISSION of all believers.
(See 2Cor. 5:17-21)

Jesus said if we weren't INVOLVED in His
co-mission, then we weren't involved in His
salvation! (Matt. 12:30)

This is perhaps the most under-taught and yet
the over-needed Christian doctrine of today!
It is called the "Doctrine of the LAITY!"

I am thoroughly convinced that if only 1/2 of
the evangelical church members in the USA
were to awaken to this doctrine, this world
would be RADICALLY changed!

Jesus has physically gone on a long trip.

But He left Christians the AXE!!

Love ya!
