THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

While filling out an application for employment, the applicant came to a
query which asked,
"What is your Church Preference?"

The man, not being a person of extraordinary
intelligence thought about the question for some time.
He really needed the job.
He wanted to impress the employer.
So he answered very confidently,
"I prefer a red brick church."

Heb 12:22-24
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the
city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and
to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the
firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God
the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made
perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant,
and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better
things than that of Abel.

Light from the Word.

Christian, stop and think to Whom you have come!
It will bring comfort and assurance to your soul.
He is THE COVENANT GOD!

You have come to the Living God, the eternal Creator and Judge
of all mankind.
He created the worlds by His WORD.
He spoke and it happened!
He is perfectly capable of making a covenant that is never broken!

You have come to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant.
Though He is powerful enough to speak the worlds into existence,
He is condescending enough to place Himself on the cross for
your sake!
He made Himself an offering for your forgiveness and salvation.
The sprinkling of His blood upon the altar is the sprinkling of GOD'S
blood!
Thus He made a covenant that seals your soul in eternal redemption!

You have come to God, the Almighty God, El Shaddai, the everlasting
Elohim.
It is HE Who has made a covenant for YOU!
In His love and by His omniscience, He laid the plan before you were
born.
For had He not come to show the love of God, and lay the plan of
your salvation, you would not have known.
First, HE made the covenant, then HE called you into it!

You have come to the Everlasting Father Who provided a family
for you.
He has formed the general assembly and church of the firstborn.
Your name is written in heaven with indelible ink, never to be erased!
He has joined you with the spirits of just men made perfect.
Each member has been cleansed in the same manner as you,
and they become your family for love and support.

How wonderful it is to know that the Eternal, Living God thought
enough about you and me that He would make and complete such
a covenant, then offer us a place in it!

Love ya!
