Perhaps the hardest thing for a parent to do is to
LET GO of their children, and yet BE THERE for them.

Deut 6:4-7
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children,
and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house,
and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down,
and when thou risest up.

LIGHT from the WORD.

Each step in a child's life leads them to the time when they can
properly make their own decisions.
We hold them when they are babies.
We help them learn to walk, then let go.
We train them to prepare for school.
Then we must let them get on the bus.
We help the teachers prepare them for college.
Then we must watch them walk away.
We prepare them to find the right mate.
Then we must watch them get married.

The truth is, we must teach them HOW to make right decisions;
then, let them.
Sometimes, they will be wrong.

Even when we properly teach them with the Word of God;
they may make wrong decisions.
But - they'll KNOW when they do!

We must use the time we have with our children to TRAIN
them with the Word of God.
THEN, we must LET GO.

Are you using time with your children to prepare them for
making right decisions?
Remember to BE THERE for them when they make wrong ones.

Love ya!
