THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Back in the early 1900's the chicken coop and yard was a familiar
sight in rural communities.
My grandmother had a fenced chicken yard.
One day a storm came up.
Grandma called me to her side, while she was watching out the window.
The little bitties ran under their mother's wings for shelter.
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the
children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
Light from the Word.
Sometimes we face difficulties in our lives when human counsel
and help fails us.
Maybe we lose a job.
Maybe our health fails.
Maybe tragedy strikes us.
It is then our Lord calls us to take shelter under His wings!
He desires we should draw closer to Him.
For, He is the counsel and help we need!
It is then, we can pray - even at midnight - and our Lord will hear (Acts 16:25).
The more time we spend with God,
the less tragedy can shake us.
His strength is imparted to His children through prayer.
