THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The words of a most special song, which many do not want to hear!
"America! America!
GOD shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!"

Amos 2:6-8
6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four,
I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the
righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn
aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the
same maid, to profane my holy name:
8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every
altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

Categorically, we might say Amos named four sins in which
Israel was complicit:
1) Perversion of Justice (vs 6),
2) Oppression of the poor (vs 7),
3) Sexual perversion (vs 7),
4) Idolatry (vs 8).
When God looks at America, does He not see the same?!
Our judicial leadership tends more to "sell the righteous"
because their lives are a reproach to ungodliness!
Our congressional leadership tends more to oppress the "poor,"
placing more taxes upon them to furnish the lifestyle of luxury!
Our entire governmental leadership tends to endorse homosexuality
instead of traditional (and Biblically correct) marriage!
And our population as a whole thinks nothing of adultery and sexual
perversion!
Our entire population has forgotten the Creator God and gone after
idols from which they can draw pleasure!
What was God's call to Israel concerning these sins?
Amos 5:6
Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the
house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in
Bethel.

And the call of God to America is the SAME!
REPENT!
This call BEGINS at the House of God!
2 Chron 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then
will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Oh America!
Turn to GOD for "grace"!!
It is He Who's gavel of justice looms over us with eternal righteousness!
