DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"The MINISTRY"

A lot of people refer to the MINISTRY
today.

A young man came forward in the
invitation with his wife and 5 children.
He sat the wife and 5 children on the
empty first pew.

Then he approached the pastor and
said, "Bro. Pastor, I feel the Lord is
calling me into the ministry."

The pastor grinned and said, "YES!
He sure is! And your ministry is right
there behind you!"

_______SCRIPTURE____________

2Cor. 5:18-21
18 And all things are of God, who hath
reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,
and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the
world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses
unto them; and hath committed unto us the word
of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as
though God did beseech you by us: we pray you
in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who
knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.

_______THOUGHT______________

EACH Christian is, or should be, involved in
a "ministry."

It may be in the family, with the neighbors, at
school, or at work.

Sometimes we specialize the word ministry,
and use it to define specialization:
pastor, deacon, evangelist, teacher.

Being a minister means to impart from what
we have.
EACH Christian has, or should have, the
WORD of God.
And, each Christian can impart as an
AMBASSADOR the Word of God to others.

God, in Christ, was involved in the ministry.
He shed His own blood in atonement for
our sins.
And, he offered out of Himself the
RECONCILIATION from God to ALL mankind.

Christian, wherever you go, whatever you do,
be INVOLVED the the ministry of Christ.
Be an AMBASSADOR, imparting what God
has said in His Word.

Love ya!
Bro. Bruce
