An elephant was bathing in the lake, splashing water and having a good time.
A mouse approached and sat on the bank. He looked disturbed.
The elephant asked, "What's the matter?"
The mouse said angrily, "Come out of the water at once!"
The elephant asked, "Why?"
The mouse in his squeaky voice, yelled, "COME OUT AT ONCE!"
The elephant realized if he were to get any peace, he would have to come out.
So he lumbered up on the bank.
Then he asked, "Why did you disturb my bathing, and get me to come out?"
The mouse said, "Well, somebody stole my bathing suit, and I wanted to see if it were you!"

Luke 2:11-14
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

It is easier to understand how an elephant could wear a mouse's bathing suit
than for us to understand the awesome mystery of the incarnation.

He was Messiah, the Christ, the "Anointed One," God Himself arrayed in the form of a baby!
God became flesh. (John 1:14)
He wore our suit!
This was Godís present to the world!

Isaiah had long before quoted God as saying,
"I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour." (Isaiah 43:11)

And Isaiah had also said,
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be
upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
(Isaiah 9:6)

Eternity inhabited temporal flesh.
Holy majesty was exemplified in an innocent child.
The King of kings born, son of virgin.
The Creator came as part of the created.
Omnipotent omniscience was laid in a manger.
The true "LIGHT" of life was wrapped in swaddling clothes.

The mystery was revealed!!
Col 1:26
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations,
but now is made manifest to his saints:

The mystery was, God came in flesh to be our Savior!

And, this mystery, can be born in YOU!!
Col 1:27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

If you receive the mystery of Godís Present,
you will know the mystery of His presence!

Love ya!
