A teacher in grammar school was famous for sending one-word
comments home with report cards.

Sam came home and gave his report card to his mom.
On the back side, there was a written word: "TRYING."

The parents discussed it, and decided that though Sam's
grades weren't too great, at least he was trying.

When the next report card came home, there was another
written word: "VERY TRYING!"

Luke 15:18-24
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father,
I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one
of thy hired servants.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a
great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran,
and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven,
and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe,
and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat,
and be merry:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost,
and is found. And they began to be merry.

LIGHT from the WORD.

ALL of us, according to the Bible, are VERY TRYING to our Lord!
Yet, the story in Luke 15 of "The Prodigal Sons," exemplify God's LOVE for us.

The 1st "Prodigal Son" had taken his inheritance and SQUANDERED it!
He learned some hard lessons.
*Following desire leads us away from wisdom.
*Desires without wisdom leads to disaster.
*Friends can't be bought with money.
*Wasting substance causes wanting.
*Hard experiences teach valuable lessons.

This young man finally realized he NEEDED his father more than
he ever knew!
He was broke, had lost his clothes, and was the hired servant
of a pig farmer!

And, he returned with a repentant heart!

But, when he was on his way with words of repentance, he saw an amazing sight!
His father was RUNNING to meet him!
His father welcomed him with OPEN ARMS and a big HUG!

This is a picture of God's redeeming, restoring and
regenerating LOVE!

God is ANXIOUSLY awaiting our repentance so that He can
work WONDERS in our lives!

DAILY Jesus waits with OPEN ARMS!
Are YOU repenting?

Love ya!
