DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"The RAGING Sea Brought To STILLNESS"

HI!

HI! A man returned to his car in the mall
parking lot.
His FENDER was SMASHED!

On the windshield was a note.
"Oh GOOD, he thought, they left their
name and address."

The note read, "People around me saw
that I hit your car. They think I'm writing
my address, phone and insurance
information. But I'm NOT!"

Nothing else was on the note!

Someone had just created a "storm" in
his day!

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Ps. 107:21-30
21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for
his goodness, and for his wonderful works
to the children of men!
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of
thanksgiving, and declare his works with
rejoicing.
23 They that go down to the sea in ships,
that do business in great waters;
24 These see the works of the LORD, and
his wonders in the deep.
25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the
stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves
thereof.
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go
down again to the depths: their soul is
melted because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a
drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their
trouble, and he bringeth them out of their
distresses.
29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that
the waves thereof are still.
30 Then are they glad because they be
quiet; so he bringeth them unto their
desired haven.

_______THOUGHT______________

When life presents a storm, hold on to
the rope of FAITH!

The passage in Psalm above, presents
a prophetic look at what happened with
Jesus in Mark 4:36-41.

Jesus had told His disciples, let's go
across the sea.
As they did, a storm arose and the ship
was tossed in the windy sea.

They approached Jesus, who amazingly
was asleep.
They asked, "Master, carest thou not
that we perish?"
(Mark 4:38)

Storms, are sometimes as much
spiritual as they are physical.
And, they sometimes appear because of
our own mistakes, or because of others.

But Jesus is the MASTER of the sea!
He is always present in the ship of life
for the Christian.

We may fear, and be shaken in our
hearts.
But we can CALL on Him, and He will
give us peace IN the storm.

We may not always be delivered FROM
the storm.
But we certainly can have peace WITHIN
the storm, if we call on the Lord!

When your ship of life is battered by one
of life's boistrous storms, call upon the
MASTER OF THE SEA!

It will not belong until Jesus will guide
your little ship to the "desired haven!"

Love ya!
