THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A large dirigible was to land in the plains of Texas.
There were 100 men ready to grab the ropes and anchor it to the ground.
Just as the dirigible came down, the men grabbed the ropes.
But a huge wind lifted the dirigible!
Many men fell.
But one man hung on through the wind.
When the dirigible was finally secured, someone asked the man,
"How did you hang onto that rope so long in that wind?!"
He said, "Well, when I felt the wind, I wrapped the rope around me.
I didn't hold onto it, it held onto me!"
But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The grace that brings salvation is constantly poured out through Christ the Reservoir.
That same grace continues to be poured out to those who have received Christ.
And, faith is the work of God IN us when we are saved.
And, faith is also the work OF us when we are saved!
It is one thing to know that the pear tree provides fruit.
It is another thing to come and reap the fruit!
It is one thing to know the fountain pours constantly.
It is another thing to come and drink!
When you are saved, faith works IN you to help you on your journey.
(See Philippians 2:13)
Also, God expects us to do the works OF faith as we're on our journey.
"For, without faith it is impossible to please Him!"
When we ACT in faith, we are expressing it through BELIEVING!
Faith is the ownership of knowing we have surrendered to Christ,
He has saved us, and is working in us.
Faith is the rope that holds onto us.
Faith is also the rope that WORKS us, because
Believing is the working of that faith!
And, God is a "Rewarder" of believing!
Have faith: ACT in, on, or with it!
