THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Mom was calling to check on her daughter to see how she was
dealing with being a new mother.
Her daughter said, "I'm ok Mom. I just work from son-up to son-down!"
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Light from the Word.
Jesus' favorite designation of Himself was "Son of man."
In doing so, He elevated the human race!
By referring to Himself as the "Son of man," Jesus spread a glowing
light above the crown of every human head.
The Son of God became the "Son of man" by CHOICE!
Jesus used the title "Son of man" to reflect identification with His people.
Those whom He created, He became a part of.
And those who sinned against Him, He died to save!
With those who suffer, He came to suffer.
He experienced grief and sorrow more than any man.
And therefore, He can comfort and help us!
He was humble enough to choose a lesser title.
He was gracious enough to glorify our humanity.
And He is loving enough to comfort us in any trouble.
The title Jesus used so often reflected His WORK!
”...to SEEK and to SAVE that which was lost.”
All those who are saved also have a title: CHRISTIAN.
Our title should reflect our WORK:
SEEKING to SAVE those who are lost!
