Most Christians are familiar with "bulletin bloopers."

In one bulletin, the following statement occured.
"5th Sunday Singing
Come let us all sin and praise God."

Perhaps also cute was another.
"LADIES: Rummage Sale Saturday.
Here's a chance to get rid of things you don't
need around the house.
Bring your husbands."

LIGHT from the WORD.

In each of our Scriptures today, the message is simple:
Give up SELF and become a marriage PARTNER!

Most people approach Christianity as still being
in charge of their own lives.
But we are supposed to give SELF to CHRIST
and let HIM guide our lives.

Unfortunately, many people approach marriage in the
same manner.
But, we are supposed to put aside SELF and become
ONE with the marital partner!
Gen 2:23-24
"23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman,
because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

I once watched Dr. John Traylor perform a marriage
ceremony.
He spoke of the TRIANGLE of LOVE.

I cannot remember the exact words Dr. Traylor used,
but they were similar to the following.
"If you'll both look UP to Jesus, and work towards BEING
like Him, then you'll be DRAWN TOGETHER!"

It's impossible for two people to work toward the same
goal and not be drawn closer together.

Look to Jesus.
Work to be more like Jesus.
Your marriage will be BETTER!
