THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

One man announced to his friend,
”I’ve done it! I’ve finally reached the place of humility where God wants me to be!”

His friend said, “Gee, I guess you’re proud of that!”

The man answered, “You betcha!”

Eph 1:13-14
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of
the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

God brought the mercy of His salvation into this world through Jesus Christ.

God bought the atoning grace of salvation for all men through the blood of Jesus Christ.

God introduces salvation to men by His Holy Spirit,
Who convicts us of sin and convinces us Christ is the only Savior.

God sustains salvation through His Holy Spirit, Who raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

God will one day complete the salvation of those who have “believed” by Jesus Christ.

The word “believed” in verse 13 above means: commit to in trust.
When a person commits to Christ in humility for sin and in trust for His forgiveness,
that person is “sealed” in the power of God’s Holy Spirit.

The same Holy Spirit Who convicted us of sin and brought us to Christ,
keeps us through the power of His continual presence.

He is the “earnest,” or down payment of our eternal “inheritance.”
He is the TEACHER as we study the Bible (John 14:26).
He is our COMFORTER when we experience troubles, fears and difficulties.
(John 14:16)

SALVATION!
What a wonderful gift through Christ our Lord!
I may not explain it well, but I KNOW it is there!!

I AM saved,
I am BEING saved,
And, one day I’ll be COMPLETELY saved into God’s eternal presence!!

“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift!” (2 Cor 9:15)

Love ya!
