THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The third lesson in salvation: PRAYERFULNESS.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
So far today, Lord, I've done all right. I haven't gossiped, haven't lost my temper, haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or over-indulgent. I'm really glad about that.
But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help.
Thank you, in Jesus name. Amen
Light from the Word.
As Christians, we NEED prayerful communion with our Lord.
It is prayer that allows us the sanctity of peace in all situations.
In this “hurry up,” and turbulent world we certainly need prayer!
Prayer is the most effective medicine for a broken heart.
He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
Start the day with prayer.
Pray during the day.
End the day with prayer.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Even more important, develop and attitude of prayer.
1 Thess 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
Without prayer, a Christian is WEAK!
