THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
“Anger,” is but one letter from “Danger!”
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any
wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD,
they shall inherit the earth.
Of all emotions, anger is the one which needs the more drastic control!
Anger consumes the person, and if not properly checked results in “evil.”
How many times have words been spoken in anger?
Yet, once the word is spoken, it cannot be annulled.
There is another emotion which should be cultivated MORE!
”WAIT UPON the LORD!”
The words “wait upon” are translated from the Hebrew qava, which
literally means to twist together for strength, or to SERVE.
Yes. Things make us angry.
But we can supplant the anger by SERVITUDE!
Be bound together with the Lord in service and anger dissipates.
