THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Once, on his TV show, Jack Benny told a cute joke.

The audience resounded applause.

Jack said, "I don't think I deserve that; but then,
I have arthritis, and I don't think I deserve that either."

Col 1:12-14
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Oh! Let us give "thanks unto the Father!"
He has enjoined us to an "inheritance" of eternal light!
He has "delivered" us from the "darkness" of sin and death!
He has "translated" us into the "kingdom of His dear Son!"

He has done this by "redemption through His blood!"
ONLY through Christ's blood do we have "forgiveness of sins!"

To the surrendered sinner, Christ's blood is REDEEMING!
By that blood, He purchased us from the marketplace of sin.

His blood is also CLEANSING!
By that blood, He washes away ALL our sin!

His blood is also PRESERVING!
Through His blood, we are sealed unto "the day of redemption."

His blood is SANCTIFYING!
By His blood, the redeemed receive an new nature: to follow Christ.

And, His blood is UNDERSERVED!
None of us own anything of value to God, except our worship.
And the only way we can receive His atoning precious blood is:
through humble surrender to His Lordship.

Through His blood, Christ poured out selfless love.
Let us surrender fully to Him, and be certain we have received this
UNDERSERVED CLEANSING!

Love ya,
Bruce
