THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The elevator operator was innovative in his conversation as he carried people
up and down the tall office building.
As he started the elevator, he would say, “I hope they changed out that old cable.”
One of the riders might ask, “What will happen if it breaks?”
Then he would say, “Well, that depends on the life you’ve lived.”
After that, the conversation was open to sharing Jesus!
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:
when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,
he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days,
and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Light from the Word.
It was for the joy of providing salvation that Christ endured the cross.
Though he received "grief," He became the ONLY "offering for sin.”
Even the worst of the worst in sin can be forgiven and saved!
God has provided that opportunity through Christ our Lord.
Even though people are lovers of sin and haters of holiness,
God will forgive and save them for Christ's sake.
Christ prayed for all men's souls when He prayed,
"...for them also which shall believe on Me through their word." (John 17:20)
He is "..longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
God looks down upon men to see whether they have been "born"
of the Gospel of Christ, and "born" by His Holy Spirit.
If so, they are His "seed" and shall be taken to eternal glory.
If Christ was willing to be "bruised," and willing to pray for the lost,
then let us be willing to tell others of His wonderful grace.
Tens of thousands of unredeemed souls await the gospel to be spoken
to their ears and the Holy Spirit to move upon their hearts.
After all, life is an "up and down" choice!
