THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A lady called down to the desk of the hotel.
She sounded frightened.

She said, "Help me, I'm trapped in my room."

The clerk asked, "What makes you think you're trapped?"

She said, "There are three doors. One leads to the bathroom,
one leads to the closet, and the other has a sign on it that says
DO NOT DISTURB."

Light from the Word. The Bible not only says that all men are sinners,
but declares that all men are "under sin."
The word under is from the Greek hupo, which means "beneath,"
"below." or trapped underneath.

No matter what a person's rank or place in society, he/she is a sinner
by nature of being human.
The "law" of God declares us guilty.
Therefore, the "law" of God cannot declare us innocent!

But the Good News is that the "law" of God leads us to the
"Law Giver," Who is Jesus Christ!

God's law is not like man's law.
It declares us guilty; yet also clearly defines the manner by which we
may be cleansed, made whole again, and acceptable in the sight of God.

That manner is through Christ only.
He has set the pattern.
He has cleared the path.
That pattern and path is submission to God in sincerity. (John 1:12)

There IS an "escape door!!"

Those who commit to "Let this mind be in you which was also in
Christ Jesus"
(Philippians 2:5), are believers!
And those believers are given faith, which is the entering and enabling
of God's Holy Spirit Who seals us and keeps us until the day of
redemption. (See Eph. 4:30).

Yes, we are sinners all, and all the time.
But God does NOT have a "Do Not Disturb" sign on His escape door!

PRAISE GOD, we are given salvation through Christ our Lord!

Love ya!
