THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
It was 1956, and I was 12.
My grandmother, Ada Fisher McGee, lived with us.
She was a godly woman, and read her Bible every day.
She didn't have much income; her only source being
a small Social Security check.
She tithed that check faithfully to her church.
I also found out she was sending $10 per month to the
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
When I asked her why, she said,
"Because he's a strong Christian man, and I believe God
will do great things with Him."
But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were
made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob;
LIGHT from the WORD.
That strength which Christians have is given by
"the mighty God of Jacob!"
That strength permeates through the true believer by God's
Holy Spirit indwelling.
Perhaps no one in the 20th and 21st centuries has illustrated this
truth more than Billy Graham.
But we can't ALL be a Billy Graham and touch the world for Christ.
However, we CAN all touch the world where we live!
Edward Kimball was a Sunday School teacher.
He cared deeply about his boys in that class.
One of those boys worked in the stockroom of a grocery store.
Kimball went to the stockroom and led Dwight Moody to Christ.
Under Moody's preaching another man came to Christ:
Under Chapman's ministry a drunken baseball player was
won to Christ: Billy Sunday.
Billy Sunday's evangelistic meetings brought Mordecai Ham
Through Ham's ministry, Billy Graham came to Christ.
It all started with a Sunday School Teacher.
BE STRONG IN THE LORD!
Never underestimate what God can do through YOUR life!
Christians, USE the strength God gives you to affect others!
