THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Q: How many bureaucrats does it take to change a light bulb?
100. One changes the bulb, while 1 supervises the spending,
and 2 assure us everything is being done that is possible, and 1
purchases the light bulb for $743.98, and 95 write the environmental impact report.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
The other morning, I awakened DIZZY!
We keep a light on in the bathroom.
While I was trying to get there, I was stumbling and bouncing from wall to wall.
Light, in the Bible, is symbolic of many things.
It is symbolic of BEAUTY.
Even in earth, diamonds will not shine without light.
God’s glory is beautiful, and nothing is more beautiful than Jesus!
Light is symbolic of KNOWLEDGE.
Through Jesus, men receive knowledge of sin and death.
Through Jesus also, men receive knowledge of grace, forgiveness and eternal salvation.
In other words, what is seen and known is manifest in Jesus.
In that wonderful place, called the new Jerusalem, ALL will be seen and known through JESUS!
All of the saved will “walk in the light” of Christ forever!
There’ll be no darkness there!
And, we’ll “stumble” no more!!
Shouldn’t we strive to walk in the light of Christ today?
